Frame-to-Frame Coherence of Multiresolution Ordered Meshes

چکیده
Multiresolution models represent objects providing a wide range of resolutions or levels of detail (LOD). Efficient storage and retrieval of the different LODs is necessary in order to achieve interactive visualization. In this paper we present a data structure and algorithm that, using a Multiresolution Ordered Meshes (MOM) representation, allow us to extract uniform resolution LODs exploiting the frame-to-frame coherence property. We study advantages and drawbacks of this new approximation by testing with different data sets and comparing the results obtained with the previous MOM representation.

MRA parseval frame multiwavelets in L^2(R^d)
In this paper, we characterize multiresolution analysis(MRA) Parseval frame multiwavelets in L^2(R^d) with matrix dilations of the form (D f )(x) = sqrt{2}f (Ax), where A is an arbitrary expanding dtimes d matrix with integer coefficients, such that |detA| =2. We study a class of generalized low pass matrix filters that allow us to define (and construct) the subclass of MRA tight frame multiwa...
متن کاملA duality between fuzzy domains and strongly completely distributive $L$-ordered sets
The aim of this paper is to establish a fuzzy version of the dualitybetween domains and completely distributive lattices. All values aretaken in a fixed frame $L$. A definition of (strongly) completelydistributive $L$-ordered sets is introduced. The main result inthis paper is that the category of fuzzy domains is dually equivalentto the category of strongly completely distributive $L$-ordereds...
متن کاملExploring Virtual Prototypes Using Time-Critical Multiresolution Rendering
We present an application of our time-critical multiresolution rendering algorithm to the visual and possibly collaborative exploration of large digital mock-ups. Our technique relies upon a scene description in which objects are represented as multiresolution meshes. We perform a constrained optimization at each frame to choose the resolution of each potentially visible object that generates t...
متن کاملA First Step to Evaluate and Compare Multiresolution Models
A variety of multiresolution models for arbitrary triangle meshes have been presented in the last years. In order to achieve an interactive visualization, multiresolution models must store and retrieve data efficiently. In this paper, we present a first step to evaluate and compare multiresolution models. We propose a set of tests to measure the speed performance of the models for interactive v...
متن کاملAnimation Model Simplifications
In this paper, we propose a new framework for the representation of deforming meshes by only updating necessary changes of the connectivity. The deforming meshes, which is also known as time-varying surfaces, are often constructed with static connectivity. To progressively represent the deforming meshes with level-of-details, people can simplify the meshes independently to obtain good simplific...
